Meet Rey
Music Education Coordinator
505-699-7513
Rey diGioia ( ☀️) brings a symphony of experience to her role as Music Education Coordinator at The Candyman. With a background that spans music performance, program coordination, and community-centered education, Rey’s mission is to make music feel like home for everyone—whether you're picking up an instrument for the very first time or diving into a jazz solo.
Rey believes music should be as joyful and inclusive as a kazoo parade through downtown Santa Fe. Whether coordinating lessons, planning events, or sneaking puns into emails, Rey makes music learning accessible, collaborative, and seriously fun.
Currently pursuing a PhD in Visionary Practice and Regenerative Leadership, Rey is passionate about building inclusive, joyful communities—and believes music is one of the best ways to do just that. At The Candyman, you’ll find her matching students with the perfect teacher, designing engaging programs, and occasionally starting impromptu dance parties (strictly for educational purposes, of course).
When not at The Candyman, Rey might be harmonizing with a houseplant, organizing color-coded practice schedules, or convincing someone (anyone!) to try a concertina. Music is for everyone—and Rey is on a mission to prove it.
